Come Up To My Room 2009
The sixth installation of Come Up To My Room in Toronto’s Gladstone Hotel just took place.

I’ve been following this project for the last few years and hope to enter it someday. The installation focuses on creating a cross over between art and design, while ultimately providing a site-specific, livable environment. Here is one of the more successful installations from this year; walls of illuminated copper tubing lights, mirror rackets and handing porcelain flashlight (above), which are amazing:

Below is an installation from last year, Room #214’s This Is Collective, which I still think is one of the best installations over the past six years:
